Overview
The LILYGO T-Weigh combines an ESP32 microcontroller (via the T-Micro32 module) with the Semtech SX1262 LoRa transceiver to create a compact, low-power wireless telemetry platform. It is specifically designed for weight scale and force sensor applications where long-range data transmission without cellular connectivity is required.
The SX1262 achieves sensitivity down to -148 dBm and supports output power up to +22 dBm, offering excellent link budgets for LoRaWAN sensor nodes. Supported modulation modes include LoRa, FSK, GFSK, MSK, and GMSK. Available in 868 MHz (EU) and 915 MHz (US) variants, the T-Weigh suits smart agriculture, logistics, and industrial weighing deployments.
Note that the T-Weigh does not include an onboard USB-to-serial chip — a T-U2T automatic downloader accessory is required for programming. Power is supplied via a 5–12V DC input.
Firmware Compatibility
The T-Weigh is compatible with the Arduino IDE using the ESP32 core and RadioLib or SX126x-Arduino libraries for LoRa communication. LILYGO's T-Weigh GitHub repository provides example code for LoRa send/receive and HX711 load cell integration. ESP-IDF is also supported.
Flashing Guide
- Connect the T-U2T downloader to the T-Weigh programming header.
- Connect the T-U2T to your computer via USB.
- Install CH9102 drivers if required.
- In Arduino IDE, select "ESP32 Dev Module" and the correct port.
- Open an example from the T-Weigh GitHub repository and click Upload.
