## Description

## Overview

The BIGTREETECH CB1 is a compact Linux compute module designed as a cost-effective drop-in replacement for the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4 (CM4) in 3D printer control boards. Powered by the Allwinner H616 quad-core Cortex-A53 SoC, it provides enough CPU performance to run Klipper firmware host software, OctoPrint, and related 3D printing management applications on a Linux operating system.

The CB1 includes 1GB of DDR3 RAM and provides WiFi 802.11n connectivity via a built-in module, enabling wireless access to OctoEverywhere, Mainsail, and Fluidd web interfaces without a wired Ethernet connection. Storage is handled by a microSD card slot. The module connects to compatible BIGTREETECH base boards (such as the Manta series) via the standard CM4 connector, making it mechanically compatible with an existing CM4-based board ecosystem.

Running Armbian or BIGTREETECH's custom Debian image, the CB1 significantly lowers the cost barrier for Klipper-based 3D printer setups compared to using a genuine Raspberry Pi. It is an excellent choice for makers building or upgrading Voron, Trident, or other Klipper-based printers who want a Linux host module without the Raspberry Pi price premium.
