HACS-compatible Home Assistant integration for Panasonic Aquarea heat pumps via HeishaMon, providing native entities, climate controls, sensors, and multi-heatpump support through MQTT auto-discovery.

Boards:ESP8266ESP32-S3
Firmware:Home AssistantMQTT
Use Cases:Home AutomationEnergy Monitoring

Overview

A dedicated Home Assistant custom integration for heat pumps controlled by HeishaMon. Unlike generic MQTT setups, this integration provides native Home Assistant entities with proper device classes, units, and climate platform support.

Features

  • Native Climate Entity: Full climate platform integration with heating/cooling modes, target temperature, and operation status
  • Comprehensive Sensors: All heat pump telemetry exposed as properly typed Home Assistant sensors
  • Multi-Heatpump Support: Run multiple HeishaMon devices with custom MQTT topic prefixes
  • HACS Installation: One-click install through the Home Assistant Community Store
  • MQTT Auto-Discovery: Automatic entity creation when the HeishaMon device connects
  • Diagnostic Entities: Error codes, compressor frequency, and operational statistics

Installation

Install via HACS by adding the repository as a custom integration. The integration auto-discovers HeishaMon devices on your MQTT broker using the default panasonic_heat_pump topic prefix, or a custom prefix if configured.

Requirements

  • Home Assistant with MQTT integration configured
  • HeishaMon device connected to your Panasonic Aquarea heat pump
  • MQTT broker (Mosquitto or similar)
