Overview

EpaperWeather is a small internet weather station built on the LilyGO TTGO T5 V2.3 ESP32 with a 2.13-inch E-Paper display. It collects internet time and weather data (temperature, min/max temp, humidity, wind speed and direction) every 15 minutes and displays it on the e-ink screen.

The device shows a full information screen for 30 seconds, then switches to a large-font minimal display before entering deep sleep — keeping the last weather data visible on the e-ink panel throughout.

Features

  • Fetches weather from an internet API every 15 minutes
  • Displays current temp, min/max, humidity, wind speed and direction
  • Shows NTP-synced time and date
  • Deep sleep between updates for long battery life
  • Supports T5 2.13", 2.8", and 2.9" e-paper variants
  • Arduino IDE / C++ project

Hardware

  • LILYGO T5 V2.3 ESP32 with 2.13" e-paper (DEPG0213BN, 212×104)
  • LiPo battery (optional, for portable use)

Build

Configure your WiFi credentials and weather API key in the sketch, then flash via Arduino IDE. The repo includes a multi-version sketch (MyWeather3.ino) supporting three display sizes.
