Meck — Meshcore BLE/WiFi Companion Firmware for T-Deck Pro
A fork of Meshcore focused on enabling BLE and WiFi companion app connectivity for the LILYGO T-Deck Pro, letting users pair the handheld with smartphone apps for off-grid LoRa mesh messaging.
Overview
Meck (Meshcore + Fork = Meck) is a community fork of the Meshcore v1.11 LoRa mesh networking firmware, created specifically to improve companion app connectivity for the LILYGO T-Deck Pro. Meshcore is a lightweight alternative to Meshtastic for off-grid peer-to-peer text communication over LoRa radio.
What Meck Adds
The primary focus of this fork is enabling the T-Deck Pro's BLE and WiFi radios to work reliably with Meshcore's companion smartphone apps. This allows the keyboard-equipped handheld to act as a radio node that stays in sync with a mobile app, combining the T-Deck Pro's physical keyboard for message composition with smartphone app visibility for monitoring.
Technical Details
Based on Meshcore v1.11 firmware, targeting the LilyGo T-Deck Pro's ESP32-S3 with onboard SX1262 LoRa radio, e-paper display, QWERTY keyboard, and GPS. The project is Arduino/PlatformIO based. Developed with Claude AI assistance. Designed for users who want Meshcore's lightweight protocol on the T-Deck Pro with improved companion device integration.
