HeishaMonBoth – Dual Cloud and Local Control
Modified HeishaMon firmware enabling simultaneous Panasonic Aquarea Smart Cloud and local MQTT control, so users can keep the official app while adding Home Assistant integration.
Overview
HeishaMonBoth is a modified version of the HeishaMon firmware that solves a common frustration: having to choose between Panasonic's official cloud control (Aquarea Smart Cloud / Comfort Cloud app) and local MQTT-based control. This firmware allows both to work in parallel.
Key Features
- Dual Operation: Panasonic cloud connectivity and local MQTT control work simultaneously
- Keep Official App: Continue using the Panasonic Comfort Cloud app for remote monitoring and scheduling
- Local MQTT: Full HeishaMon MQTT functionality for Home Assistant and other local platforms
- No Compromises: Access all heat pump parameters through both channels without conflicts
Why This Matters
Standard HeishaMon replaces the Panasonic WiFi communication entirely. Some users want local control for automation but still need the manufacturer's app for warranty, remote access, or installer support. HeishaMonBoth bridges this gap.
Compatibility
Works with Panasonic Aquarea heat pumps that support both the CN-CNT serial interface (for HeishaMon) and CZ-TAW1 WiFi adapter (for cloud).
