Home Assistant Matter Hub
Publishes Home Assistant entities as Matter devices, allowing Apple Home, Google Home, and Alexa to control your HA devices locally over Matter without cloud dependency. (Project is end-of-life as of Jan 2026; active fork: RiDDiX/home-assistant-matter-hub.)
Overview
Home Assistant Matter Hub bridges Home Assistant entities into the Matter ecosystem, enabling Apple Home, Google Home, and Amazon Alexa to discover and control your HA-connected devices locally over Matter — no cloud, no port forwarding required.
The project exposes HA entities (lights, switches, sensors, climate, covers, etc.) as standard Matter device types. It runs as a Docker container or Home Assistant add-on and communicates with HA via the WebSocket API.
