## Description

## Overview

The Rock 2F is the most compact and affordable member of Radxa's Rock 2 family, sharing the same Rockchip RK3528A SoC as the Rock 2A but in a smaller form factor with lower memory and storage options. It targets cost-sensitive IoT, embedded, and edge computing applications where size and power efficiency are priorities.

Available in 512MB, 1GB, and 2GB DDR4 configurations with 4GB to 16GB eMMC storage, the Rock 2F keeps costs low while offering WiFi 4 (802.11n) and Bluetooth 5.0 for wireless connectivity. Unlike the Rock 2A, the Rock 2F does not have a built-in Ethernet port — networking is wireless-only unless expanded via the FPC PCIe connector (compatible with Radxa's Dual 2.5G Router HAT). The USB 2.0 and USB-C connectivity is sufficient for headless deployments, and a microSD slot provides additional storage flexibility.

Radxa and the Armbian project both provide software support for the Rock 2F. Despite its compact size, the RK3528A delivers capable performance for lightweight Linux workloads, making the Rock 2F a practical choice for home automation hubs, network sensors, DNS-level ad blocking, and other always-on embedded Linux tasks running from a standard 5V USB-C supply.
