## Description

## Overview

The NanoPi R2S Plus improves on the popular R2S by adding 32GB eMMC 5.1 onboard storage, eliminating the need for a microSD card and improving boot reliability and I/O performance. The same Rockchip RK3328 quad-core Cortex-A53 at 1.4GHz with 1GB DDR4 provides proven routing performance.

Dual Gigabit Ethernet ports (one native RTL8211F, one USB 3.0 RTL8153B) handle WAN/LAN routing, while an optional M.2 SDIO WiFi module adds wireless AP capability. Two USB 2.0 ports, dual USB-C connectors (power + debug UART), and a metal case complete the package.

At $30, the R2S Plus is an excellent value for a turnkey OpenWrt router, VPN gateway, or network monitoring appliance. The onboard eMMC means the system survives microSD card failures that can plague long-running network appliances.
